Lipoatrophy Treatments

We practice the newest filling substances for facial depressions due to lipoatrophy or other causes. Injectable fat, if available, will work and may be frozen and reinjected. The newest French techniques for fat transfer are used, as well. Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Radiesse or Silicone and other fillers and implantables can be combined for gratifying results.

Microdroplet injectable silicone is also currently being studied for this disorder and is in the investigational stages. Please inquire about availability through our office. Our dermatologic surgeons will advise you on which combination of fillers is correct for your needs.

As with other injectable procedures, infection, bruising or skin discoloration may occur, which can become permanent. Intermittent swelling at the injection site may occur, as can lumpiness due to an overreaction of the skin to the product.
